As a Christian church, we believe that the message of Jesus Christ is good news for all people. Our vision is to see lives transformed by this good news. Jesus is Amazing! He came to earth to reveal God to us. He gave up His life to rescue us and He rose again as Eternal King.

As a church family we want to get to know Him each day. We want to promote this good news by creating opportunities to share, care and serve our local community.

Bethesda - Our Church

During the last 10 years our Church family has increased and strengthened from a regular attendance of 15 people to a church community now approaching 100 adults and over 20 children.

We are a broad mix of ages, backgrounds, circumstances and past church experiences, who gather to worship, hear God's Word taught, and have fellowship.


Improving our church Building is not for our comfort on a Sunday, but so that we can thrive as a church family by engaging with others in our community so that as many people as possible can hear the good news and come to know Jesus as their Saviour.


Bethesda - Our Building

It is in a well situated position, with plenty of parking, some attractive outdoor space and a lawned and fenced area for children to play.

Our home is a former carpet warehouse which has many advantages.


However, the building needs some internal redesigning and refurbishment if we want to make it a welcoming, safe and flexible environment for contemporary church use.

Once refurbished, our building will comprise of an entrance lobby leading to a welcoming, multi-use coffee lounge and servery also incorporating a sofa area for youth work and discussion groups.

We believe a building that is well designed, functional and welcoming to all is honouring to Jesus.

A second larger multi-purpose room will provide seating for up to 150 people for worship services and space for youth and children's work at other times of the week.

There will also be four smaller rooms - one mainly for creche facilities, one multi-purpose room and two offices. Modern kitchen facilities and toilets (including accessible and baby change facilities) will also be included.

In addition there will be more insulation, heating, electrical and AV systems making the building fit for purpose into the future.

Our Progress And Need

In 2024 we progressed to fitting a new entrance lobby, windows and fire exits.

We are now seeking to raise the funds to do the major renovation work of adapting the internal space for its new purpose, ensuring provision of modern facilities in an environmentally sustainable building.

Costs are projected to be £427,000 of which we have raised £260,000 so far, which leaves a shortfall of £167,000.


We hope to begin the major refurbishment in early 2026.
